This monument is called "Shahid Minar". This great monument is built for the martyrs of Bangladesh who have sacrificed their valuable lives for mother language. On 21st February, 1954 they sacrificed their lives for their mother tongue. On this day, every year, Bengali people honor them by giving flowers in this monument.
